ENTRANCE - Webinar Introduction – how to calculate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction from sustainable transport innovation
20 June 2022 | 14:30 – 16:00 CEST
Are you interested in selling, buying, and investing into innovative solutions for decarbonising the transport sector? Then join our webinar and learn how to calculate Greenhouse Gas Reductions of your innovative solution!
The ENTRANCE project is designed to mobilise financial resources and boost sustainable innovations in the transport and mobility sectors. To do so, the partnership will create an environment for promoting solutions to find buyers or investors. These solutions will gain visibility through the ENTRANCE Matchmaking Platform, that also encompasses a Knowledge Hub to learn more about sectorial trends and financing insights.
When: 20 June 2022 | 14:30 – 16:00 CEST.
Registration is open HERE.
Introduction:
Transport accounts for approximately 21% of global GHG emissions according to the International Energy Agency. Innovation plays a key role in reducing emissions through increased efficiency, optimised operation, transition to renewable energy etc. To enable market uptake of innovation, evidence-based impact assessment of the emission reductions from the implementation of innovative solutions is needed. To secure investment, innovation owners need to present their impacts on emission reduction and therefore, assessing emission reduction from implementation of innovative solutions in the transport sector is essential. To address this need, the ENTRANCE project consortium is organising this third project´s training webinar to provide introductions on current practices for you.
The objectives of the webinar:
The training webinar aims to help innovation investors, buyers, and owners to develop a common understanding on how to assess the impacts of innovative solutions on emissions reduction, thus using impact assessment for facilitating innovation uptakes.
Proposed speakers/Agenda :
- Alan Lewis, Technical Development Direct at Smart Freight Centre: “The Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) Framework”
- Ross Mathison, Investor Manager at Baillie Gifford: “An investors perspective on sustainable transport projects”
- Andrea Fossa, Founder and CEO at GreenRouter: “Innovative tool to manage carbon footprint in logistics”
- Mariia Cutivet, Sustainability Expert at EINRIDE: “How do we calculate the emission reductions from our innovation?”
