Space4Cities : OMC Webinar #2 | Climate adaptation and resilience
26 September 2024 at 10 am CET,
On 26 September 2024 at 10 am CET, the SPACE4Cities project invites you to its second OMC Webinar which will focus on the challenges local authorities are facing when it comes to urban climate adaptation and resilience. Among climate adaptation solutions, for instance, Climate services are digital tools aimed at triggering climate action and decision-making all along the adaptation policy cycle. These services greatly rely on space applications which monitor, forecast and model our climate.
Organised as part of SPACE4Cities' Open Market Consultation (OMC), this series of webinars aims to encourage interaction between the project's public buyers - Helsinki, Amsterdam, Ghent, Guimaraes and Athens (Attica region) - and innovative solution providers. The latter may be companies, research institutes or not-for-profit organisations already using space applications, i.e. EO and/or GNSS, or planning to do so, or providers able to complement space applications with another technology like drones, IoT, AI, GIS, etc.
Taking part in the webinar enables participants to understand the Challenge faced by public buyers and to ask questions directly to consortium members in order to anticipate the buyers’ needs. The three webinars are therefore an undeniable opportunity to influence and comment on future specifications and requirements, and so prepare for the unique €2.87 million SPACE4Cities Call for tenders scheduled for early 2025.
The webinar will be recorded and made available to registered participants after the event, so please register even if you can't participate live!
An OMC Community and an OMC Supplier Survey are also available for you to engage in the consultation.
